The opening titles printed on the cover of the comedy Viva Las Vegas define and contextualize the background and rules of the post-apocalyptic world in which the film is set, much like the opening titles of Zombieland. Snyder, who probably made one of the best credits of recent times with Watchmen. Visually the most stunning of those five minutes. As if he was actively rebelling against the creative prison in which he spent the last ten years of his career.
Army Of The Dead on Netflix isn’t a sequel that completely removes the various defining elements of the decade-old zombie action community, where the hoopla has become an integral part of American popular culture. The first part of Army Of The Dead is a very slow storyline.
Interesting because the deliberate dynamics are the opposite of what will follow. Not only does Snyder combine zombie movie lore with the heist thriller. It also presents an emotional father-daughter drama that explores the possibility of reviving an old unrequited romance.
Fun and simple, more action-packed than anything else. It clearly takes inspiration from modern “fast-paced zombie” movies like “World War Z” or “28 Days Later” as these are masterpieces and sometimes just a click through the sheer frenzy of the filmmakers’ ambition and will movie producer.
Wherever the cast takes you. Unforgettable Zombie Tigers, a bizarre dynamic undead king/queen that dominates the action, stunning sequences where Brain Eaters are used to set traps; Fun and smart beats that keep the Army of the Dead alive.
As Dave Bautista gears up for HHH at WrestleMania 35 this Sunday, he has signed a deal with Netflix to star in Army of the Dead, a $70 million zombie heist directed by Zack Snyder Will. The adventure, written by Shay Hatten and Snyder, set in the middle of a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, where a man recruits a group of mercenaries to make his biggest bet: enter a quarantine zone to perform the ultimate.
